Choosing a Preschool

I think its really hard choosing a pre-school. When one have to many options, one became indecisive.

There are a few criteria of school in my list. Islamic, English and Malay medium. So around my housing area there are 5 kindies that fits these criteria.

A. Little Caliph
B. Genius Aulad
C. Sri Ayesha Islamic Montessori
D. Taski Abim - not sure whether its English medium
E. Child Islamic Centre (CIC)

But apart from that I have yet to see the school environment. Do you think I should be along my son, so that he can 'feel' which kindy he likes most?

So, I really welcome any feedback from you all.

BabyTV on Astro

I'm not sure whether I'm the one who's 'ketinggalan keretapi' here, but BabyTv is now available on Astro! Its on Channel 618. Oh I hope this channel is one of the free channel like Astro Ceria..hehehe..savings! That's because I don't subscribed to the Fun Package.

Image from Google

Ok after browsing here and there, I found that the channel will be previewed until 30th September. After this date, additional RM 5 will be charged for those who want to subscribe.

What's Your Favourite Flavour??

I'm sure most of you have heard this campaign going around, about choosing the new flavour of the dutch lady milk.

Is it gonna be Red Bean, Sweet Corn, Moo Melon or Caramel Toffee??

So, don't forget to vote. Treat this as some sort of trial election, hehehe. But if it were me, maybe I would go for Caramel Toffee altho I have not yet sampled any of them. That's because I just loved anything with caramel!

I think back when I was in school, Dutch Lady used to have a Butterscotch flavour which was delicious!! Did you remember, friends?

The Landslide at the Orphanage

What happened last Saturday, of the landslide at the orphanage was another nightmare. It looks like Highland Tower, Bukit Antarabangsa stories all over again. But this time, the wound was more deep because most of the victims were children.

This morning, I was in tears as I heard one of the callers in the radio show recited a poem, related to our nature. And what she said is true too, this is not the time to pinpoint whose fault e.g. the building was not given CF, no permit whatsoever. It all started with our own greed when we cast down our nature in the name of development. And this morning I realized too, another source of greenery along my way has been ripped too, to give away for a new condo development.

So,stop pointing fingers. Give help and let's recite Al-Fatihah for them. May their soul rest in peace, Amin.

Wishlist : A Bigger Car for Family Vacation

The school holiday will be around the corner. Yeah!..Macam le ada anak sekolah kan...but then I have made plan for a short vacation to the East Coast!

Na..na..na..na.. Ganu Kite!

Insya-Allah for this trip, my parents and my youngest sister will join my little family! So, there'll be like 5 adults, One pre-schooler and a baby in one car. Oh I hope we'll survived! You see, to go in more than one cars, macam tak economical plak, but to have just one car, we really have to pack smartly indeed! At times like this how I wish we had an MPV!

It's time for a new car so say hello to #allaboutexora! Get your Test Drive session today!

Novel : Room by Emma Donoghue

Image go-ogled

Finally, I managed to finish up this book!

The story's summary from Amazon:
In many ways, Jack is a typical 5-year-old. He likes to read books, watch TV, and play games with his Ma. But Jack is different in a big way--he has lived his entire life in a single room, sharing the tiny space with only his mother and an unnerving nighttime visitor known as Old Nick. For Jack, Room is the only world he knows, but for Ma, it is a prison in which she has tried to craft a normal life for her son. When their insular world suddenly expands beyond the confines of their four walls, the consequences are piercing and extraordinary. Despite its profoundly disturbing premise, Emma Donoghue's Room is rife with moments of hope and beauty, and the dogged determination to live, even in the most desolate circumstances. A stunning and original novel of survival in captivity, readers who enter Room will leave staggered, as though, like Jack, they are seeing the world for the very first time.

As for me, I personally recommended this book for your reading. The story was told from the perspective of 5 year old boy, which in his entire life live in 11 by 11 foot room. In this room, he lives with his Ma who tried her best to give him the normalcy of life. There were singing time, reading time, exercising time and lots more.

I really pitied him when finally they were able to go outside the room. You can feel how confused he become and I for once really feel how the world must be so cruel.

To know the ending, please read it youself..hehehe..

Happy Teacher's Day!

Life has been pretty hectic last week in the work front. And with that my health too was failing miserably. I was down with flu and fever complete with headache package. And right now another one is coming, *cough*.

So, over the weekend all I managed to do was TRYING nursing myself to heal, literally speaking lah..but as a mother no matter how sick you are, you are bound to continue doing whatever that mother needs to do. At times like this, I wish to have a live in helper, rasa nak melepek jer..but luckily my weekend helper was available to come and clean the house.

By the way, today is Teacher's Day..so Happy Teachers Day to all..!

Sayonara Bukit Merbah

It has been ..well over 16 years that I had left this place.

So why the sudden visit?
Actually, every year on 1st May, it was old girls day. And I've been there once way back when I just graduated..wah dah lama betul..
Altho my mum's house was just in Seremban 2, I have never been able to get myself here for every OGA days. But this year we (my sis) and me NEKAD jugak, even a day earlier to walk down the memory lane because starting next year, this school will be relocated to Bandar Enstek, Nilai.

The Administration and School Compound
Actually, there's more picture which I'll put up later.

So, a lot have changed. Of course la what do you expect right. In terms of additional things, there's a new building behind the surau, which I don't know what. Better toilets in hostels and admin blocks, bigger canteen and co-op. There's also sort of cyber cafe in the area where band members used to practice. But one thing I miss, pokok rhu tepi padang..there're gone girls..feeling pretty nostalgic now.

But there's certain thing that remains. Its the giving 'salam' tradition. We even got some but not Assalamualaikum Kak, but Auntie...hahhaha..so old meh! Another one is the announcement tone. Believe me it is still the same.

I wonder what are they going to do with that area once they are relocated..

Naqib Turns 8 Months

Masya -Allah..

Dah besar anak Mummy yang kecik ni..It feels like just yesterday that you started your solid food..and now whaddaya-know..it has been 2 months already since that day.

You have started to get mobile now. Not yet crawling on fours, but more to combat style or 'menyusur' but in reverse gear. But last night you have started to move forward. So now I always had to double check your position from time to time whenever I'm in the kitchen because you certainly will find your way under the day bed!

Your separation anxiety has started too. Asyik nak berkepit je kejenya, eh? You will scream on top of your lungs when I had to put you down. And when you are content, you babbles a lot..hehe. It gave me such a joy whenever you laughed and giggled when your brother teased and played with you. You clapped when you heard pok amai amai song and open-close your palm when you heard 'cak cekur' song..

Mummy loves you mucho!
