Goodbye 2009, Welcome...

See you all next year!! Ho..ho..ho..

I'm not going to make any new resolutions for next year. Its the same old, same old ones..everything must be better may it physically, mentally, spiritually, etcetra...

Some plan that we have laid out, we may try to execute it as much as we can. The rest, we will only pray and hope that Allah will help along the way,right?

The Year That Was...

Its just another day left for 2009!

To recap what 2009 has brought me so far..

ON MYSELF

I'm still trying hard to be a good mommy,wife, daughter and other roles as well, well this is subjective. More or less I have fallen onto the motherly duty conviniently..On my personal readings, I've exceeded the target that I've set on myself last year, so yeay!!

Health wise, I could not be more thankful than 'dipanjangkan umur' after the emergency appendicitis operation!

ON RELATIONSHIP

I'm thankful for everything. My Hubby, My Son, My Parents, Siblings, In-Laws, Uncles and Aunts and Friends all around the world.

ON WORLDLY POSSESIONS

Wahahaa macam ape je bunyinya..On this matter.. pretty much the same as the year before. The same house, the same car, oh with an addition with a small car. Other than that, I'm pretty much content with whatever I had.

ON SPIRITUAL

I admit, there's no drastic improvement. Maybe a little bit more patient, Alhamdulilah. I just pray, that should the time for me to go, let it be in the best possible way.

End of the Year Retreat

Ok its time for Bukit Tinggi updates! More to pictorial updates lah..hehe..

We went there right after Jumaat prayers, the journey only took us about an hour.

THE WALKING AROUND

Nazif was afraid at first of the big bear!

On Friday, we just had a walk around the Colmar area. Compared to the last time we were here, the place was more lively and a little bit more happening. Maybe its because of Xmas and also school holidays. They got a few stalls of games which looked fun indeed, but we didn't try them. At night they had a dance show.

On Saturday, we were geared for nature walk!

 But we only went near the entrance where they had koi pond..we were totally drenched out. The cause? This little fella kept running up and down the hill..FENAT!!
(Luckily I ate quite a hearty breakfast that morning..)

Rabbit Farm

Lastly, after checked out we continue to the rabbit farm. Nazif was totally cool about touching the rabbit! Yeay! Right after rabbit farm,we went straight home! Nazif was asleep all the way..he's totally bonked out from the physical activities.

Nazif said, "We were back from Colmar!!"

Mummy said, "Later aaa Mummy update, nak ambik feel dulu.."

Peraduan Gores dan Menang

I believed most of us must have came upon this type of contest. My two cents of it? Never trust them AT ALL.Especially when someone approached us somewhere in the parking or anyplace that matter, unless its a contest organized by recognized organization.

As I came upon this article yesteday, I remembered about one experience we encountered.

One hot afternoon, there's a sales person that went about our taman, from one house to another stating that they were organizing a 'Gores dan Menang Satu Juta'. Well, he came to our house and dunno why suddenly I'm so rajin to entertain this person, but just from inside my door, I never once invited him in..Cautious rite?

So, there I was gores and gores..and passed the paper to him when suddenly he got down on his feet, his face was an expression of awe, surprise and the likes..he went about like this..(please read in Chi*nes* slang..)

'Akak, akak sudah Menang SATU JUTA'

'Ini memang tidak pernah terjadi!'

Oh My Gosh! I was trying so hard to contain my laugh at the moment! He definitely was acting but of course not convincing!

Yeah, I didn't  fall into his trap. I just said,

'Oh ye ke? Takkan le takde orang menang lagi'

'Takpe lah kasik hadiah itu sama orang lain'

And he just left. SEE??

This is not me and hubby's first time here. We've been here when we were first married. But at that time we only went for a day trip. This time we decided to stay overnight at the resort.

18 Months Young

Happy 18 months young Nazif!!

My boy has certainly grows up, by leaps and bounds!! And if Mummy were to measure you to this  BabyCenter, you are developing very well indeed.

Mummy couldn't be more proud of you dear..Alhamdulillah. for everything and finally his chicken pox is almost gone.

Ps: This morning, this boy buat drama swasta tak nak gi nursery..aiyaaa...I know babeh..you have been home for quite a long time..

That's my current stock of Usana. I have started the Essentials and restock my Nutrimeal..

So, how's my journey so far?

Last week I have weigh myself..I've lost 1 kg! Yeay..for me ,1 kg is ok because looking at my BMI which is considerable ideal for me, I know its hard to loose the kilos. But glad to say that my tummy and butt has lost about 2 inches..yeay..dah kempis sikit la perutku..

The Weekend to Remember

We had a blast at PD! Altho this little boy of mine was not fully recovered, but we did enjoy ourselves!

We headed for PD on Saturday afternoon. Had our lunch there at one of the mamak's and then we checked ourselves into The Thistle Port Dickson.The hotel was great, I loved the interior and it is very kid's friendly. The swimming pool was great and Nazif had his first experience of dipping and swimming here.

The Hotel

Lots of greenery..very nice indeed..Nazif had fun running  around and I had fun chasing him around!

The Room

The bed tester ready, oh the room came with LCD TV and WiFi...but being on holiday mood, mak tak kose nak blog2 bagai ni kan..Oh the mattress adalah sgt best gitu..

The Activities

Nazif was terrified at the water at first sight..aiyaa...he just sat at the poolside and played with the water spray..tgk tu siap nak panjat keluar from pool lagik...hahaha..but after a while we managed to get him in the pool, yeay!!

 
At night, we went out for dinner at Nasreen Songkla Seafood. The food was not bad but the place was packed to the brimmed! Luckily the service was fast enough but Nazif was not very cooperative that night. So simply had to take turn to eat.

We checked out the beach the next morning.  Again just like at the swimming pool he was terrified. But luckily the waves were gentle enough..so slowly he warmed out to the water. Then we continued at the swimming pool again. Then its time to checked out!!

Overall, its nice to be away sometimes..it may not be an extravagant celebration for our wedding anniversary,but I certainly felt so. Thank you hubby for being the great YOU.

Bercanda Di Tepian Pantai

We were off to Port  Dickson for the anniversary celebration!!Yeehaaa...Oh..its been quite a long time since Langkawi that we were finally off for a mini getaway.

Oh, I really hope the weather would be sunny! Insya-Allah I'll be back with the updates.

When My Toddler Speaks..

Hehe..he's not really into speaking the full sentences yet, of course lah. But the words kept increasing in daily basis.
These are some of the words that are frequently being used by Nazif so far:

cat

dog

bear

bit (rabbit)

tow (cow)

habish (habis)

tar(car)

toe( moto)

kok (songkok)

air (refers to cup and air itself), but now its ayaq..hahaha..Kedah slang habih!

anya ( cap/topi..its a long story how this word came about)

atit (sakit)

tatak (kakak, or any other person)

tutu ( bottled milk)

bubu  ( mummy's milk which should be taken in laying position)

bukak, tutup

gatai (itchy..he got this word during the chicken pox time)

nyanyam ( eat)

Those were the words that he uttered which mostly are very fluent and yes I can't help there are some baby talk like bubu, nyanyam..sbb there are cute.For his age so far I think he's doing quite well..There were other words as well but not being used regularly..hehehe..

What's the Relation of Daun Semambu and Chicken Pox?

The last time when I got chicken pox which was 20 years ago (perghh dua dekad lamanya), I remembered my mom went to search for  'Daun Semambu'  (couldn't find the term in English)..and the easiest way to find it is usually in Indian household. The leaves would be used as pelapik tidur, soap and of course scratching instrument, hehehe..my sister used to play the 'Dayang' role when she used the leaf to scratch me..alala kipas gitu..

And since my boy had  chicken pox I tried looking for it, but  its too hard! And my housing area 90% of it are Malays..so mana nak tanam2 daun semambu ni kan..So my baby only took the prescription by the doctor. And I'm not sure about one thing, some say don't bathe the patient, is it true? I dah selamat mandikan Nazif berderu2 since day one he caught the disease.

Oh wait, still tak menjawap soalan dia atas..why the daun semambu?
According to this article, the leaves have anti bacterial and anti-carsinogenic characteristic which helps to reduce toxic in the bloodstream.And it got other benefits too which you can read more from the article.

Ohh..camtu rupanya..now I know...

 PS: I just found out that he scientific name for this leave is Azadirachta Indica

Update on the Sick Boy

My boy has not yet recovered. Today its daddy's turn at home...Huahahahahaaa..but right now I'm missing  the little muchkin already.

So far, he's such a good boy during day time even with spots all over his body. Altho sometimes he got cranky when he's sleepy. I know he will be such a darling with his daddy today. But at night time, his itchiness was extreme! He cried in his sleep, it was such a sorry sight, but what to do...apply ajelah calamine lotion.

Oh Nazif, please get well soon  dear. Let's get better by the time Mummy and Daddy  punya anniversary ok?

Sick boy

Nazif got chicken pox! So mummy had to stay home. Pity him, itching all over but thankfully not really cranky,yet.

Mixed Mode...

Firstly,  I'm trying to change my blog header...not very creative  lah I tell you....but nvm, I'll keep trying..heheh

Secondly, regarding my journey to burn fats..so far so good..I have yet to weigh myself..hehe..!! The first day on Nutrimeal, I got a little bit of headache and wind inside my body.  But on the second day, I'm back to normal..hehe..my tummy is getting used to just eating Nutrimeal for breakfast and dinner now..in between I did snack but with fruits or muesli bar/biscuits. The first rule of healthy diet is, NEVER STARVED YOURSELF..and yes, I snacked and drank a lot of water..

And I've tried to force my self in doing exercises. I've managed once to do a walking workout..tp halfway ada budak kicik dah panggil mummy!! How meh?

Geek Mode : Have you ever Wonder?

I'm sure most of us watched the last episode of Nur Kasih last week.
Yeah, so far it is said as the highest rating drama for this year. In yesterday's paper TV3 said about 4.7 million people watched the last episode and about 1-2 million watched the re-runs.

So, the question that crossed my mind, how do they figure this out? TV broadcasting is different from the internet. For internet, we could count based on the number of IPs..

Nielsen uses a technique called statistical sampling to rate the shows -- the same technique that pollsters use to predict the outcome of elections. Nielsen creates a "sample audience" and then counts how many in that audience view each program. Nielsen then extrapolates from the sample and estimates the number of viewers in the entire population watching the show. That's a simple way of explaining what is a complicated, extensive process. Nielsen relies mainly on information collected from TV set meters that it installs, and then combines this information with huge databases of the programs that appear on each TV station and cable channel.

I'm sure the tv station used almost the same method. You can basically search for anything that you need to know how other things work.

And the Journey Begins!

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to  do a simple  body checkup and body fat analysis at the office.

My reading for body fats was HIGH! I told you!  It was 33.2%..hehehe...the normal range should be around 20-29.9%. Such a difference!!

And coincidently macam tau-tau jugak, the parcel that I have been waiting arrived yesterday too! So it means I could start straight away! Yeay!!

Yer, I dah terjebak dgn U to the S-A-N-A!


Note to dear Hubby: Please support bini abg ni yer dgn tidak makan malam yg lazat bersama-sama yer. .Ape kata abg pun minum Nutrimeal mcm saya? Then we jog-jog or aerobic together-gether?

A Month of Love *Hugs*

December is my month of LOVE..(Gedik mode!)

 In two weeks time, well be celebrating our Seventh Wedding Anniversary!

S-E-V-E-N I tell you! Why? Tak percaya?

Me myself can't believe it. People said the first five years of marriage is the period of adjustment and involved many kinds of trials. I guess its true. The biggest trial in our marriage was definitely to become pregnant! Well there are other things too, but that's the major one lah for me and hubby.


To recap of things that we did for the last six years of our anniversary..as far as my memory can recall:

1 st Year - 2003 : We did a makeover for our bedroom.
2nd Year - 2004 : We did a garden make over. But the garden doesn't last that long. We are no green hands I tell you!
3rd Year - 2005 : Emm..just went for a date. We were saving for our new house at that time. So that's just it.
4th Year - 2006 : I think same as the year before. Oh but I got a designer handbag from hubby. So yeay!
5th Year - 2007 : We were not together at that time. Hubby was away in Bangkok! But I got the best gift ever! I was pregnant!
6th Year - 2008 : Lunch date at Restoran Seri Angkasa, Menara KL! Just the two us. Hehehe..felt like lovey-dovey couple! Our gift, our six month old son at that time which was left at the babysitter!

Yeah, our celebration were simple and not that romantic..ekeke..but that's how I like it.

So what do we plan to do for this anniversary?
